§ 140.266. Proceeds as beneficiary of life insurance policy.
Payments received by the applicant/recipient as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, except for an amount up to $1,500 that the applicant/recipient verifies that he spent on the insureds last illness and burial expense, is counted as unearned income. Illness and burial expenses include related hospital and medical expenses, funeral, burial plot and interment expenses and other related costs.
