§ 27.99. Definitions.

AN ACT
  Amending Title 1 (General Provisions) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, adding definitions relating to courts for purposes of statutory construction.

 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania hereby enacts as follows:

 Section 1. Section 1991 of Title 1 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding definitions to read:
§  1991. Definitions.

 The following words and phrases, when used in any statute finally enacted on or after September 1, 1937, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section:

 Appellate court.—Includes the Supreme Court, the Superior Court and the Commonwealth Court.

 Commonwealth Court.—When used in any statute finally enacted on or after April 23, 1968, the court existing under section 4 of Article V of the Constitution of Pennsylvania.
