§ 25.92. Control numbers in labeling of controlled substances and other drugs but excluding prescription orders.
Each manufacturer and each distributor, as to material removed by it from the manufacturers original container and repackaged, shall insure that the label of the immediate container or the immediate container itself of a drug or controlled substance bears characteristic markings or numbers commonly referred to as lot or control numbers, to make it possible to determine the complete manufacturing history of the package of the drug.
