Contemplated Joint Use Lease of Land for Other Uses

[Saturday, October 5, 2024]The Department of Transportation (Department), under section 2002(c) and (d) of The Administrative Code of 1929 (71 P.S. § 512(c) and (d)) has received an application to lease real property. The applicant's name is Loyalsock Investments, LLC. The proposed use of the leased premises is a laydown yard for East End Lumber. The yard will be used for parking vehicles and off-loading/laydown of building materials. Hazardous materials will not be brought to or stored on the leased premises.
The land is in the City of Williamsport, Lycoming County, bounded to the south and east by Interstate 180, to the west by Chatham Street and to the north by East Church Street, further described as State Route 180 Segment 0035. The area consists of 0.255 acre of unimproved land. The estimated fair market rent value is $2,900 per year.
Persons objecting to the approval of the application on grounds of public or private interest may file, within 30 days from the date of this notice, a written protest with sufficient detail to inform the Department of the exact basis of the protest and the relevant facts upon which it is based to Jeffrey M. Wenner, PE, District Right-of-Way Administrator, Department of Transportation, 715 Jordan Avenue, Montoursville, PA 17754.
